Tech Race Summit 2026 run-up: frank conversation with SOFTSWISS CTO

SOFTSWISS CTO on AI hype, Tech Race and why the stage is less important than the room

In September, it was announced that SOFTSWISS and World Gaming will team up for the media partnership for the Tech Race Summit 2026.

In a recent primer of both Tech Race and ICE Hall 7, Margaret Dunn, portfolio director at WorldGaming, sat down with Sergey Kastukevich, chief technology officer at SOFTSWISS. The pair also offered their views on how AI has evolved in the industry.

Tech Race Summit 2026 is scheduled for 10 September in Warsaw. It connects the specialists behind the technology that supports today’s digital enterprises.

Tech Race hopes to address a vacuum in the business
Tech Race Summit fills an actual vacuum, Kastukevich said. “There’s been a lot of business chat in iGaming but very little dedicated space for engineering and tech conversations.

The event is presented not as a SOFTSWISS sales platform, but as knowledge-sharing infrastructure for the industry. SOFTSWISS is the host, not the presenter, thus the emphasis is on where leading technologists think the sector should be placing its money and attention in the next six to twelve months.

Two occurrences, one movement
Dunn said that last year, ICE experienced similar demand with the Innovator Challenge with Microsoft and keynotes from the likes of AWS and Huawei.

This year the team is responding with a new effort, Hall 7. “The launch of Hall 7 provides us with a more robust platform to accelerate the next phase of iGaming innovation.

The next chapters of the same discourse will be Tech Race in Warsaw in September and Hall 7 at ICE in Barcelona this January. CTOs, CSOs and data leaders might expect to pick up where they left off, four months later.

Both events are bets on the same idea being valuable for the industry. It’s better to have a room full of the proper individuals than to chase them all over the world.

Is AI just a pure buzzword? Hear from Dunn and Kastukevich as they give their candid thoughts on AI in the iGaming sector currently.
